Crypto exchange KuCoin has expanded its TradFi trading platform, introducing a broader selection of perpetual contracts linked to global equities, commodities, and market indices. The platform now supports more than 170 trading pairs across eight categories, providing eligible users with round-the-clock access to traditional asset-linked derivatives.

The expansion covers contracts referencing stocks listed in the United States, Hong Kong and South Korea, alongside commodities such as crude oil, natural gas, copper and silver. It also includes exposure to major technology and semiconductor companies, including Tesla, NVIDIA, Micron and SanDisk, as well as contracts linked to market indices and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

The latest additions follow KuCoin’s launch of Stock Index Perpetual Contracts in March 2026, as the exchange continues to broaden its offering beyond conventional cryptocurrency derivatives.

Round-the-Clock Access to Traditional Markets

Unlike traditional stock exchanges, which operate during designated trading sessions, KuCoin’s TradFi perpetual contracts are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The USDT-settled contracts allow eligible traders to take long or short positions on assets linked to sectors such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, energy and metals. This enables users to adjust their exposure in response to corporate earnings, market developments and commodity price movements outside conventional exchange hours.

Trading takes place through KuCoin’s existing futures interface, with access subject to applicable product terms and eligibility requirements.

Unified Trading Accounts and Flexible Margin Options

Alongside the expanded asset selection, KuCoin is integrating TradFi futures trading into its Unified Trading Account (UTA) infrastructure for eligible users with VIP1 status or higher.

The UTA system brings funds, margin and risk management into a shared account structure, reducing the need to transfer assets between separate trading accounts when managing positions.

Eligible UTA users can also use KCUSD as margin for supported TradFi contracts. Under the applicable product rules, qualifying KCUSD holdings can continue generating rewards while serving as collateral, allowing traders to maintain positions without first converting or redeeming their holdings.

Part of KuCoin’s Broader Platform Strategy

The TradFi expansion forms part of KuCoin 5.0, the exchange’s broader initiative to integrate trading, asset management and access to global markets within a single platform.

It also aligns with the company’s “Trust, Built-in.” initiative, which emphasizes account integration, broader asset availability, flexible capital management and transparent trading mechanisms.

With more than 170 perpetual contract pairs now available, KuCoin is continuing to develop its traditional asset-linked derivatives offering while bringing additional trading and margin management capabilities into its existing infrastructure.
