Securitize Brings Tokenized Stocks To Solana
The company initially announced Securitize Stocks on October 8, with availability reaffirmed in a post published on October 23. The 12 companies in the initial offering are Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Tesla, Meta, Amazon, Netflix, Circle, SpaceX, Strategy and Palantir.
According to Securitize , each token is backed one-to-one by an underlying share held in a segregated account. The company also states that these shares are not lent out, addressing a potential concern for investors evaluating how tokenized securities maintain their backing.
Eligible customers can purchase tokens using USDC and hold them in approved Solana wallets . The platform advertises trading five days a week, around the clock, while seven-day trading remains a planned feature rather than an existing service.
Securitize Markets, LLC, the company’s U.S. broker-dealer , provides the offering through a regulated framework. Investors must complete identity verification and onboarding before gaining access, and availability varies by jurisdiction.
