‘We will defend every inch’ of alliance territory: U.S. NATO envoy

Well, we're going to be prepared for whatever it is, and we what we have been very clear in communicating back to the Russian side is that we are defensive alliance. We will defend every inch of NATO territory, but at the same time we are not offensive oriented. We are not looking to attack Russia or anywhere way put, you know, sort of its interests in compromise. And so, I think this is you know, a situation where because of the lack of success on the battlefield in Ukraine, I think Russia is trying to lash out, but ultimately, you know, we are prepared and we will be prepared and we'll continue to even be more ready tomorrow than we are today. And so, I think we're NATO and our allies are in a improving position as it is deterring and defending the alliance.
