TLDR:
ZetaChain’s Proposal 2 seeks approval for a permanent Layer 1 shutdown on December 9.
Native ZETA holders will receive Solana-based SPL tokens at a fixed 1:1 migration ratio.
ZetaLabs will launch on December 9, offering private AI tools for financial market research.
ZetaChain plans to burn 55 million undistributed ZETA through twelve monthly burns in 2027.
The ZetaChain Solana migration is now up for an onchain governance vote. The proposal would permanently halt block production on the ZetaChain Layer 1 on December 9.
Native ZETA would move to Solana as an SPL token at a 1:1 ratio. ZetaLabs, a privacy-focused AI application for financial markets, would launch on the same day.
Proposal 2 follows Proposal 68, which passed in September. Voting closes on November 7, and the proposal needs approval before anything changes.
What Proposal 2 Sets in Motion
The ZetaChain Solana migration follows a fixed timeline under Proposal 2. It sets the dates and mechanics behind the direction approved in Proposal 68. That earlier vote passed with 99.4% in favor.
The announcement states, “Nothing moves until it passes.” Every ZETA balance will be recorded at a published block height expected around December 9.
The Layer 1 will halt at that same height and will not restart. ZETA will then be minted on Solana as a native SPL token under the same ticker. Afterward, the mint authority will be revoked.
Under the ZetaChain Solana migration, holders can claim through the ZetaHub migration portal, which opens on December 9.
They connect the wallet that held ZETA and sign a message naming a Solana wallet. According to the proposal, “The portal asks for a signature, never a transaction, and never a seed phrase.”
Staked and exchange balances will be credited automatically. Meanwhile, the independent firm Hacken is reviewing the portal and its program. The portal opens only after the review ends.
ZetaLabs Launch and ZETA Supply Plans
ZetaLabs is a private AI application built for people who follow markets. Chats, research, and memory are encrypted by the user.
The post said, “ Your thesis, your positions and your mistakes should not live on a provider’s server.” The app builds on technology the team has run since February 2026 as Anuma Chat.
The app will offer chat with live market data and a Radar feed of moving markets. It also includes Bloom, a private memory of onchain activity. A ZETA Dashboard will track supply, locked tokens, and burns.
ZETA will serve as the payment and access token for the product. Users can pay in ZETA for a discount on AI usage. They can also lock ZETA to unlock Premium and vote on supported markets.
The team said a private AI app needs users, payment rails, and agent infrastructure. It added that “ Solana already has all three.”
The ZetaChain Solana migration also changes the supply plan. About 55 million ZETA of undistributed validator emissions will be burned through 2027. That equals twelve monthly burns of roughly 4.6 million ZETA each.
Vesting completes on January 1, 2027, and no newly released ZETA will be sold that year. If the vote fails, ZetaChain will return with a revised proposal.
