TL;DR

Trump Media-linked wallets transferred 4,259 BTC, worth approximately $342 million, to Crypto.com in two transactions.

The amount almost matches the 4,260.73 BTC previously disclosed as collateral for the company’s convertible notes.

The transfer comes ahead of a November 30 repayment deadline that could create approximately $1 billion in financial obligations, although no Bitcoin sale has been confirmed.

The movement of 4,259 Bitcoin from wallets associated with Trump Media & Technology Group has attracted attention across the cryptocurrency market. The $342 million transfer to Crypto.com comes as the company faces an important debt deadline, raising questions about its Bitcoin treasury strategy and the potential role of digital assets in managing its financial obligations.

Blockchain analytics platform Arkham Intelligence identified the transactions, which involved two separate transfers totaling approximately 4,259 BTC. Although exchange deposits can precede selling activity, they can also reflect custody arrangements or changes in treasury management. Therefore, the transaction alone does not establish that Trump Media is preparing to liquidate its Bitcoin holdings.

Trump Media’s Bitcoin Transfer Raises Questions Over Debt Obligations

The transactions occurred at 02:17 UTC, with 2,140.03 BTC moving in the first batch and another 2,119.31 BTC following in the second. Both originated from wallets labeled “2028 Convertible Notes Collateral” by Arkham and arrived at an address attributed to Crypto.com.

The amount closely matches the 4,260.73 BTC that Trump Media reported holding as collateral for its convertible notes in its second-quarter financial filing. The company disclosed that these Bitcoin holdings were subject to contractual restrictions on withdrawals and distributions, with restrictions scheduled to expire no later than May 29, 2028.

Another important development involves the company’s November 2 securities filing. According to the disclosure, holders of its convertible notes can demand cash repayment on November 30. If all eligible holders exercise this right, Trump Media could face approximately $1 billion in repayment obligations.

The filing also warned that insufficient refinancing or alternative financing could force the company to sell Bitcoin or other digital assets to meet its obligations.

Previous Bitcoin Movements Offer Additional Context

This is not the first time Trump Media has transferred substantial Bitcoin amounts to Crypto.com. In May, wallets associated with the company moved approximately 2,650 BTC, worth around $205 million at the time, to the same platform. A company spokesperson subsequently clarified that the assets had been transferred rather than sold , describing the operation as part of a broader trading strategy.

Another transfer occurred in August, when approximately 2,628 BTC, valued at $165 million, moved to Crypto.com. Trump Media described that transaction as custody management, reinforcing the possibility that exchange movements do not necessarily indicate an intention to reduce its holdings.
