Top Marijuana Stock Picks For Investors Now

Ascend Wellness Holdings (OTC:AAWH)

Trulieve Cannabis Corp. (NYSE:TRLV)

Cresco Labs Inc. (OTC:CRLBF)

Ascend Wellness Holdings

Ascend Wellness Holdings is a vertically integrated multistate cannabis operator serving Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. It cultivates cannabis, manufactures products, supplies wholesale customers, and operates dispensaries.

Ascend’s newest development is its October 6 opening announcement for a Lewis Center, Ohio dispensary, which began serving medical patients and adult-use customers before its October 9 grand-opening event. The store raised Ascend’s Ohio footprint to seven dispensaries, adding another outlet for its in-house Ozone Reserve and Simply Herb products.

The opening builds on improving second-quarter results reported in August. Ascend generated $126.1 million in net revenue, up 7.9% sequentially, while retail revenue increased 11.5% to $92.7 million. Adjusted EBITDA reached $29.1 million, operating cash flow totaled $22.5 million, and free cash flow was $19.5 million. The company still reported a $9.8 million net loss and carried approximately $251.8 million in net debt.

Trulieve Cannabis Corp.

Trulieve Cannabis Corp. is a major U.S. medical cannabis operator headquartered in Florida. The company cultivates and manufactures cannabis products and distributes them through an extensive dispensary network. Trulieve’s latest major update remains its second-quarter report released August 7. This reflected the company’s transformation by federal medical-cannabis reform and its move to the New York Stock Exchange. The quarter included Trulieve and Harvest operations until Harvest was deconsolidated on June 3.

Trulieve reported $271 million in revenue, with retail producing 94% of sales, and achieved a 60% gross margin. Operating cash flow reached $53 million, free cash flow totaled $32 million, and quarter-end cash stood at $325 million. Its $406 million GAAP net loss was largely connected to a $407 million impact. This was from the harvest deconsolidation and related investment; adjusted net income was $20 million.

The company also began shipping medical cannabis products to licensed independent pharmacies in Georgia, opened four Florida dispensaries, and applied to register qualifying medical operations with the DEA.

Cresco Labs Inc.

Cresco Labs is a vertically integrated multistate cannabis company that cultivates, manufactures, and distributes branded products while operating Sunnyside dispensaries. Its consumer portfolio includes Cresco, High Supply, FloraCal, Good News, Mindy’s, Remedi and Wonder Wellness products. The most recent investor-facing development came on September 24.

At this time, it outlined proposals intended to prepare the company for a potential senior U.S. exchange listing. The plan may also permit a reverse stock split if needed to satisfy listing requirements.

This capital-markets initiative follows Cresco’s September 2 acquisition of nine operating Pennsylvania medical dispensaries from PharmaCann for $50 million. Pennsylvania produced more than $1.1 billion in medical cannabis sales during the previous year, making the transaction strategically important for Cresco’s retail and wholesale network.
