Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs posted a sharp reversal on Oct. 14, recording combined net outflows of approximately $390.9 million after a brief recovery a day earlier . According to the latest fund flow data, investors pulled capital from both asset classes as the broader crypto market struggled to regain momentum during October. For Bitcoin products, the shift marked a notable change from the inflows seen on Oct. 13 and reflected renewed caution among market participants.
Bitcoin ETF Reversal Ends One-Day Recovery
Bitcoin ETFs registered $261.4 million in net outflows on Wednesday , erasing the positive sentiment created by the $175.7 million in inflows reported the previous day. The largest withdrawals came from BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust , which posted $110.9 million in net outflows. Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund followed with losses of $152.7 million .
Among the funds tracked, Bitwise’s BITB stood out as the lone product to attract new capital , recording $2.2 million in net inflows . All other funds reported no net activity during the session. Despite the latest round of withdrawals, cumulative net inflows into Bitcoin ETFs remain substantial at roughly $57.03 billion . The figure highlights the long-term demand that has continued to support these products even during periods of market weakness and short-term volatility.
Ethereum Funds Return to Negative Territory
Ethereum ETFs also moved back into the red on Oct. 14 after attracting $24.8 million in net inflows a day earlier. The funds collectively recorded $129.5 million in net outflows. BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust accounted for most of the withdrawals after losing $109.8 million . Grayscale’s Ethereum Mini Trust followed with $18.8 million in outflows, while 21Shares’ EZET reported withdrawals of $900,000 .
The latest figures add to an already difficult stretch for Ethereum investment products . Earlier in October, the sector recorded significant selling pressure, including outflows of $201.9 million on Oct. 6 and another $160.9 million on Oct. 7. Even so, cumulative net inflows into Ethereum ETFs remain positive at approximately $13.10 billion.
Market Pressure Weighs on Crypto Assets
The ETF withdrawals coincided with broader weakness across the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin fell about 2.5% over the past 24 hours and traded near $80,500 at press time. Ethereum experienced steeper losses, dropping more than 5% to around $2,300 . The decline in Bitcoin prices came alongside renewed investor selling across ETF products. Although Bitcoin ETF flows turned negative during the session, cumulative inflow totals remain firmly positive . The latest activity suggests market sentiment remains fragile as investors assess recent price movements across major digital assets.
