TL;DR:
Direct Banking Integration: Cross River Bank incorporated Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin into its Core Operating System (COS) on October 15, 2026.
Unified Interface Access: Fintech companies can alternate between US dollars and RLUSD via API without operating their own node infrastructure.
Verified Market Metrics: Ripple reported a market capitalization exceeding $2.5 billion for RLUSD , while CoinGecko recorded $2.417 billion at the time of the announcement.
This Thursday, October 15, it was announced that US-based Cross River Bank integrated the RLUSD stablecoin into its financial technology platform, adding the dollar-pegged stablecoin as a complementary settlement rail alongside ACH and wire transfers.

The deployment runs through the institution’s Core Operating System (COS). Via this proprietary framework, corporate clients and payment networks gain direct transactional access to the XRP Ledger network.
The technical architecture eliminates the need for financial intermediaries to run standalone nodes or handle private key custody directly. According to the entities’ official report, XRPL transfers settle within three to five seconds, with average network fees falling below a cent per transaction.
Adam Goller, Head of Fintech Banking at Cross River, noted that the addition strengthens the bank’s existing digital asset infrastructure. According to statements by the executive, the system allows tech firms to execute cross-border payouts and institutional treasury management without relying on the restricted operating windows of traditional clearing houses.
Meanwhile, Ripple’s technical overview specifies that over $1 billion in RLUSD has been issued directly on the XRP Ledger , maintaining concurrent issuances on the Ethereum mainnet.
Expansion of Corporate Rails and Circulating Supply
The initial rollout remains restricted to a select number of states within US jurisdiction. The financial institution has not disclosed the licensing rollout timeline for additional territories or the total count of onboarding clients.
Market metrics provided by CoinGecko show that RLUSD market capitalization stood at $2.417 billion on October 15 at 15:34 UTC. The figure reflects a minor variance from the $2.5 billion figure cited in Ripple’s joint press release.
The integration with Cross River forms part of a series of institutional agreements finalized in mid-October 2026. Brokerage firm DriveWealth announced on October 14, 2026, the integration of RLUSD for European settlements prior to enabling US functionality. In addition, South Korean brokerage Meritz Securities secured an agreement to leverage Ripple’s custody and tokenization technology earlier this week.
Furthermore, infrastructure provider Privy confirmed this Thursday that its authentication toolkits now support the XRP Ledger , allowing developers to spin up native wallets compatible with RLUSD .
The upcoming operational milestone for Cross River Bank will be the release of its Q4 2026 settlement report, which will reflect the preliminary processing volumes recorded across this digital payment rail.
