TL;DR

Bitcoin held near $82,100 in the initial snapshot while Celestia gained 16%, Injective rose 7.7% and LayerZero advanced 7.3%, highlighting stronger altcoin performance.

Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh offered no signal on October rates, while market-implied odds of an increase fell to roughly 15% from nearly 30%.

Derivatives activity cooled as liquidations declined and futures volume fell, while later CoinMarketCap readings showed stronger 24-hour gains for several leading altcoins.

Bitcoin traded almost unchanged near $82,100 while several altcoins posted stronger gains, creating a broader market rotation as Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh avoided signaling the central bank’s next interest-rate move. In the initial snapshot, Celestia rose 16%, Injective gained 7.7% and LayerZero advanced 7.3%. A later CoinMarketCap reading placed Bitcoin near $82,712, while Celestia, Injective and LayerZero showed larger 24-hour gains. For investors tracking Bitcoin , the session favored selective altcoin strength rather than a decisive move by the market leader.

Altcoin Strength Builds as Rate Outlook Stays Unclear

Warsh declined to indicate whether the Federal Reserve would raise rates at its meeting later this month during remarks at IMF and World Bank meetings in Bangkok. Market-implied odds of an October increase fell to roughly 15% from nearly 30%, while Treasury yields remained largely stable. The shift adds another macro variable to the current Bitcoin outlook . The absence of fresh rate guidance reduced immediate policy clarity without establishing that the Fed had changed course.

Crypto market breadth improved alongside the quieter Bitcoin session. Ether gained 0.5% near $2,450 in the original snapshot, while four in every five members of a broad crypto index were higher. CoinMarketCap’s Altcoin Season Index also moved to 60 from 50 a day earlier, extending the wider altcoin rotation already visible in recent weeks. The move showed participation broadening beyond Bitcoin, although the data did not confirm that every altcoin was advancing.

Derivatives conditions were comparatively restrained. Crypto futures volume fell 20% over 24 hours to $200 billion, while open interest increased 2% to $142.21 billion. Liquidations declined to $311 million from nearly $1 billion the previous day. Bitcoin, Ether and Solana also showed open-interest growth below their spot-price gains. The combination suggested less forced selling and limited evidence that fresh leveraged longs were driving the recovery.

Celestia led the initial gains, reaching about $0.68 after rising 16%, while Injective traded near $9.19 and LayerZero around $2.24. Later CoinMarketCap readings showed TIA near $0.6955, INJ at $9.11 and ZRO around $2.20 , with their respective 24-hour gains at 31.44%, 26.54% and 21.36%. Those later figures represent a separate snapshot rather than revisions to the earlier move. That divergence kept attention on relative performance. Altcoins ultimately displayed stronger short-term momentum than Bitcoin as traders balanced improving breadth against unresolved Federal Reserve policy uncertainty.
