to Market on Close. I'm Sam Bardis on the floor of the New Yo Stock Exchange to discuss the future of nuclear energy. Let's welcome in our next guestf Lightbridge, who we've wok up very e this morning. Thank you so much for your time. Really appreciate it. Coming live from Tokyo for us today. Maybe you haven't slept. I don't know what that happens at these nuclear confe, but just explain exactly what Top Fuel is. Well, Top Fuel is the world's leading nuclear fuel technology conference. It rotatee a year among Asia, Europe, the United States. Last year it was Nashville. This year it's in Tokyo where we are now. And it's wher Lightbridge and other companies dealing with fuel technologies for reactors get to present scientific and engineering and then get them published. Very interesting. What role can you remind our viewers exactly does Lightbridge play in all of this? Well, very important. Lightbridge is the only company that has developed a new nuclear fuel, the kind of fuels used in react today were first used years ago. Lightbridge has developed a completely new nuclear fuel based on working with utilities that want toee more power from the existing reactors and more from new reactors, while enhancing safety. So we're seeing now, like with the Googlestellation deal, is the rush to have the quickest new nuclear power that can be, and that's from adding more power to existing reactors. So executive orders calling for more power from nucle reactors this year. In June, I was at thete House for the launch of the Uprise initiative, where the government ispportingm nuclear reactors. And two months ago, Lightbridge was awarded by the Department of Energy under what's called launch to support deploying our plant. That will r commercial reactors of this new , and we're presenting here at Top Fuel i Tokyot will add the most new power possible for new reactors, the kind of power the data centers and others are looking for. Right. So you mentioned the Google Constellation energy obviously something we were covering last week. So if that is about using existing reactor fleet right now, much this existing stuff is there right now to utilize bef we need to build the new stuff? Right? So the deal between Google and Constellation is about modifying current equipment in reactors that will get a bit more power out of each reactor. So they'll get almost one new reactor equivalent of power by making these changes to 11 reactors. And that's limited just howmuchs something they could do now. So with the Lightbridge fuel, we'll go way beyond that to produc much, much more power from the existing reactors, up g reactors. And then abo third more power from new reactors. So you couldld threeeactors and get the power four. So t of y game is to make things effectively more efficient here. It'll make it more efficient. It'll produce a lot more power from each of the existing re and the new reactors, and it'll reduce the cost of electricity by producing more power from the same rea And there really isn't any other technology that could add as muc power as lightbridge fuel could. What are you hearing from other countries, given you're on the other side of the world right now as t the progress that they're making? Obviously, you know, it's a sensitive topic in Japan, as we know. But I mean, what are you seeing and hearing from other CEOs,cularly out in Asia? Because we know that China, for instance, doesn'thavo getting energy and poweright now. What sort of undding are young as to where the US is positioned right now in nuclear ambitions? Well, it's certainly a very sensitive part of my trip here. I was in ima last year when I was in Japan. I was in Fukushima. And there are a lot of reasons why Japan is very sensitive about it. And of people are looking to the US for natural gas exports. And more nuclear power in the United States frees up more natural gas that can be exported, and world markets are paying more for natural gas than domely in the U.S. so that's really a win win for Americans. Andith countries Japy no natural resources, that want to import their energy needs from Russia and are nervous about importing it there's a great desire to look at ways of produci power. So Ja3 of their reactors since they all closed at Fukushima. They're looking reopen more and have 20% of their power from from nuclear. And they're probably going to meet that goal. Andd theld, there is this push for a tripling of nuclear globally. And the United States is a big part of tha, China and Russia have been trying to jump out to the by building a lot of reactors and honing the construction methods to build them faster and cheaper. And the Unitedtates is starting to do that. But the U.S. is always also a leap ahead with better technology. And that's really where Lightbridge will come in, where build reactors that get a lot more power. And forries like Japan before they're even building reactors, get mor power by changing fuels in the existing reactors and taking similar steps to just to get more power from the egnts. Are you looking to provide that that fuel in place like Japan? Absolutely. So we're starting in tted States. We're going to first have fuel for U.S. ues. And then as that fuel is used in U.S. reactors with the license from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission that those utilities wille, that will be our greatest marketing tool around the world. I was wit U.S. government officials in India in May talking about using this fuel in India and potentially Indiang an export base to other countries from a plant in India. Pally the light bridge could partner with to Japan, other markets all over the world are in our market. Fascinating chat. Really appreciate it. We've got to wrap things up there, Seth, but really, really enjoyed this conversa And you have a wonderful rest of your day over
