Well, he got the nominee he wanted in Texas. He also got the cabinet he wanted in part because of votes that you cast. You write in your book, for example, that your vote for Pete Hegseth is one of your biggest regrets. And you talk a lot in the book about how you view president Trump as a as a CEO and that the senate is kind of a board of directors, and all of the people underneath him are supposed to give him advice. You obviously feel that he's surrounded by people who are not giving him. Yeah. There... There's a lot of good people in the cabinet, but the people on the front cover are not on my favorites list. Okay. But if you're on the board of directors, if this were a Fortune 500 company, would you be giving that CEO free rein still to make decisions, or is this CEO lot more starting moving forward? Look. When you're when you're letting the president... I got roundly criticized by Republicans for supporting Obama nominees in my freshman term here, Biden nominees. I voted for more Biden nominees than just about anybody outside of maybe Lindsey Graham. I believe presidents, even though they're not my pick, you let them form the government, particularly the cabinet. But, he's just not... I... I've told... Well, you should've never, you should've never hired him. I said, have you ever fired anybody that you hired? You make mistakes. They don't perform the way you hope they did. It was a unanimous, vote out of armed services. That's why I went ahead and support them because I couldn't find anything to convince... The thing that I was working on the week before we confirmed him was trying to find something that would convince me and allow me to convince others on armed services. Maybe we should take a pass. It didn't come it didn't come to a b by the time we did the vote, and I regret it. I I... He's absolutely demonstrating he's never been an executive, and he's performing poorly as an executive.
