Ashley Ebersole, the firm’s co-founder and chief legal officer, clarified that the stablecoin is neither a synthetic representation of USDC nor a token directly backed by it. USTX has its own reserves and maintains a 1:1 peg to the US dollar .
Fintech company Brale is responsible for issuing the tokens, managing reserves, and processing minting and redemption transactions. Each token is backed by $1 in assets , which may include cash, bank deposits, government money market funds, and short-term US Treasury bills.
Tx also plans to offer rewards to eligible users through programs associated with its wallet.
The GENIUS Act prohibits stablecoin issuers from paying interest solely for holding or using these assets . Ebersole said the rewards program was designed with legal guidance to comply with regulatory restrictions.
