Vancouver, BC – TheNewswire – October 19, 2026 – Automata Rare Earth Corp. is pleased to announce that it has received formal exploration approval from the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador for an extensive exploration program at its Burnt Pond Rare Earth Project , located in central Newfoundland.

The approval authorizes a comprehensive exploration campaign consisting of 103 diamond drill holes , airborne geophysical surveys utilizing both helicopter and drone platforms, and the use of new and existing exploration access trails across the property.

The exploration approval remains in effect until October 8, 2028 , providing the Company with a clear regulatory pathway to advance one of Newfoundland’s emerging rare earth element projects.

“We are extremely pleased to have received approval for this important exploration program,” said Christopher Huggins, CEO of Automata Rare Earth . “This authorization represents a major milestone for the company and demonstrates our commitment to working collaboratively. With growing global demand for critical minerals and rare earth elements, we are excited to begin the next phase of exploration aimed at defining and expanding the project’s resource potential.”

The approved program includes geophysical surveys designed to refine exploration targets, followed by a significant diamond drilling campaign intended to evaluate the property’s rare earth mineralization and support future resource delineation efforts.

Rare earth elements are critical components in numerous strategic industries, including electric vehicles, renewable energy technologies, advanced electronics, defense applications, and permanent magnet manufacturing. As North America seeks to strengthen domestic critical mineral supply chains, Automata believes the Burnt Pond Project is well positioned to contribute to the development of a secure and reliable source of rare earth materials.

Field activities are expected to commence following the completion of additional operational planning, contractor mobilization, and the acquisition of any supplementary permits required for specific activities.
