JetBlue Unveils Florida Panthers-Themed Airbus A320
JetBlue and the Florida Panthers introduced the new aircraft at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on November 5. The airline named the aircraft Go Cats Go to celebrate its longstanding relationship with the hockey team. Additionally, the unveiling highlighted JetBlue’s continued focus on expanding its presence across South Florida.
Florida Panthers executives and players attended the ceremony alongside local officials and community representatives. Attendees included Panthers General Manager Bill Zito, Captain Aleksander Barkov, and forward Brad Marchand. Following the presentation, team mascots greeted departing passengers and distributed promotional gifts aboard the aircraft’s inaugural flight.
The Airbus A320 features the Panthers’ signature red color across its main body and several recognizable team symbols. Meanwhile, the aircraft’s tail displays the Panthers shield in navy and gold, matching the team’s familiar colors. The design also includes Florida lettering underneath the aircraft and references to the franchise’s historic branding.
JetBlue Expands South Florida Operations and Community Partnerships
JetBlue has maintained a strong connection with South Florida since launching its first commercial flight in 2000. Fort Lauderdale served as the airline’s original destination and remains a major part of its operating network. Today, JetBlue ranks as the largest airline at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
The carrier plans more than 150 peak daily departures from the airport during the upcoming winter travel season. Its schedule covers over 60 nonstop destinations, strengthening connections between South Florida and other markets. Furthermore, the airline continues expanding its regional presence through customer services, route development, and local partnerships.
Beyond aviation, JetBlue supports several Panthers initiatives that connect the hockey organization with surrounding communities. The airline sponsors the Champions Club and JetBlue Landing at Amerant Bank Arena, offering additional fan experiences. Both organizations also support educational programs, including a reading challenge for Broward County public school students.
The aircraft launch adds another promotional element to JetBlue’s broader South Florida strategy and existing sponsorship activities. The announcement does not include financial projections or specific revenue expectations from the expanded partnership. JetBlue continues developing its regional network while using sports partnerships to strengthen brand recognition and community engagement.
