TL;DR
Plume Vaults is expanding access to ONyc, OnRe’s reinsurance-backed tokenized asset, through a new version called nONYC.
The launch will make nONYC accessible on Monad and Ethereum, extending ONyc’s availability beyond Solana, where it has primarily operated.
Plume Vaults has surpassed $200 million in total value locked, while ONyc has more than $225 million deployed across Solana DeFi applications.
Plume Vaults announced the expansion of ONyc , the tokenized reinsurance asset developed by OnRe , through the launch of nONYC , a version designed to operate on Ethereum -compatible networks.
The integration will initially bring ONyc, previously available primarily on Solana , to Monad and Ethereum . The goal is to make its yield accessible across additional networks without requiring separate infrastructure for each one.
ONyc provides exposure to yields backed by reinsurance operations through a regulated structure. Unlike DeFi products that rely on cryptocurrency incentives, its returns come from insurance underwriting premiums and collateral used in those operations .
Plume Expands the Distribution of Tokenized Assets
The new nONYC version integrates ONyc into Plume Vaults’ infrastructure, which allows institutional financial assets to be packaged for distribution across different blockchains.
This will give users of networks compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) access to a product whose primary market was previously on Solana .
Plume’s infrastructure is already used to distribute products linked to private credit, Treasury securities, fixed income, and emerging-market debt .
Its approach uses standardized structures that allow tokenized real-world assets ( RWAs ) to be integrated into different applications and networks.
ONyc Surpasses $225 Million Deployed on Solana
According to data shared by the project, Plume Vaults has more than $200 million in total value locked (TVL) .
Meanwhile, ONyc has surpassed $225 million deployed across Solana DeFi protocols , making it one of the most widely deployed tokenized real-world assets on the network.
With the launch of nONYC, OnRe will be able to distribute its reinsurance product across new networks without abandoning its original deployment.
The first deployments will be available on Monad and Ethereum .
