Pump.fun has made Pump Bridge the default route for cross-chain transactions within its app, replacing Relay as its primary provider. The platform claims its in-house infrastructure enables faster purchases and substantially fewer errors.

According to a test conducted between September 28 and October 7, typical purchase times fell from 3.88 to 1.95 seconds when using Pump Bridge instead of Relay. The error rate also dropped from 11.2% to 0.9% , a reduction of approximately 92% .

How we measured

Every number in this thread comes from a randomized test in the Pumpfun app. From Sep 28 to Oct 7, users were randomly assigned to Relay or Pump Bridge for crosschain trades on Robinhood, BSC, Base, Arc and Ink, and re-assigned several times during the test.

The tests covered transactions on Robinhood Chain, BSC, Base, Arc, and Ink . Pump.fun also claimed that the difference between the reference price and the tokens received narrowed by around 17% . However, its own data shows that purchases were still executed 3% below the displayed price, compared with 3.6% on Relay.

The company stated that Pump Bridge currently charges no additional fees for cross-chain swaps . Its speed statistics cover 383,326 transactions , approximately 53% of which took place on Robinhood Chain and 39% on BSC.

Your crosschain trades have been slow, broken and overpriced for months.

Relay, used by Fomo & Pumpfun, has led traders to worse fills, missed trades and poor experiences. We refused to let this go on.

The launch also intensified competition with Fomo , an app that continues to use Relay. Pump.fun co-founder Alon criticized fees charged by competing platforms and emphasized that his service charges a 0.45% fee. Neither Relay nor Fomo has publicly responded to the statements.
