After halting its decline by mid-September, Costco (NASDAQ: COST ) stock has been gaining momentum and, judging by the latest Wall Street analyst notes, the equity is likely to accelerate its rally in the coming 12 months.

Specifically, Tigress Financial’s Ivan Feinseth revised his outlook for COST shares on October 15 when he replaced the previous $1,065 forecast with the new $1,250 prediction, while retaining the previous ‘Buy’ rating.

According to the analyst, the estimated 27.81% upside from $978.01 at the latest close is justified by a veritable laundry list of bullish catalysts.

Costco has been benefiting from strong sales, membership growth, rising traffic, general infrastructure expansion,  artificial intelligence ( AI )-enhanced shopping, and strengthening earnings.

Meanwhile, the Tigress Financial assessment came in as noticeably more bullish than the already-optimistic Wall Street average.

Indeed, Costco stock is, overall, regarded as a ‘Moderate Buy’ by institutional analysts with twenty positive, six ‘Hold’, and one ‘Sell’ recommendation, per the data Finbold retrieved from TipRanks on October 16.

Simultaneously, the average price target for the next 12 months forecasts that COST shares will rise 11.91% to $1,094.48 by late 2027.

Notably, Feinseth is not the most optimistic analyst to offer a rating revision since the start of October, as Kelly Bania from BMO Capital estimated the equity would rally to $1,315 and UBS’ Michael Lasser predicted a rise to $1,275.

Additionally, Costco shares’ only ‘Sell’ rating was confirmed after the bullish reversal late in the previous month, since Bill Kirk, an analyst at Roth MKM, estimated COST would suffer a 20.14% decline to $781 on September 25.

Costco stock rallies on double earnings beat

Lastly, the retail giant’s equity was 14.45% in the green year-to-date (YTD) and at $978.01 at the latest – October 15 – close thanks to the 8% three-month rally that resulted from a strong quarterly earnings report .
