XRP’s DeFi market is sending mixed signals as Q4 gets underway. On one side, activity around specific products is climbing. On the other, broader liquidity on the XRP Ledger is cooling. That split matters because DeFi cycles usually need capital, users, and staying power, not just short bursts of speculation.
Doppler vault hits a milestone
One recent bright spot is Doppler’s $XRP Vault. Its holdings peaked at 90 million tokens, worth more than $127 million. That is a notable number for the network, and it shows that some users are still willing to commit size to XRP-related DeFi products.
The timing is interesting. XRPL’s total value locked has slipped by about $5 million from its late-September peak of $46 million, according to the article. That decline is not huge, but it points to softer capital conditions. Stablecoins on XRPL have also taken a hit. Their market cap fell 6.3% to $1.23 billion. Less stablecoin liquidity can mean fewer inflows, slower DeFi adoption, and weaker momentum for on-chain activity.
So while Doppler’s vault increase suggests engagement, a rebound in stablecoin value and TVL would be a stronger sign that real bullish on-chain action is returning.
Evernorth listing could change the demand story
The upcoming XRPN listing by Evernorth on Nasdaq adds another layer. Evernorth reportedly holds 473 million $XRP, making it one of the largest XRP treasuries. If the listing goes through, it could give investors a different way to gain exposure to XRP, similar to how some investors use MSTR for indirect Bitcoin exposure.
One analyst on X argued that XRPN shares could attract buyers who do not want to buy $XRP directly or hold it with a custodian. The bigger question is how Evernorth will keep shareholders interested. A yield strategy could be one answer. If XRPN offers yield, it might create fresh demand for $XRP, though that depends on how the structure works and whether investors find it compelling.
Tokenization adds another tailwind
XRPL’s tokenization activity is also worth watching. The network appears to be gaining ground in tokenized commodities. Tokenized commodity net inflows reached $2.2 billion on XRPL, compared with $1.6 billion on Ethereum in 2026, according to the data. Monthly real-world asset transfers on XRPL also peaked at $7.03 billion, a 224-fold increase.
Those numbers are large, and they could become new demand generators for $XRP if the trend continues. If Evernorth adds a yield farming concept for XRPN holders, it might create a feedback loop: more adoption, more tokenization, more activity. That is still a big if.
For now, XRP’s DeFi story has two competing forces. Product-level activity is improving, but liquidity is not fully cooperating. The next few weeks may show whether Evernorth’s listing and XRPL’s tokenization growth can outweigh the recent stablecoin decline.
