Nothing moves in a straight line, not bonds, not stocks, not gold. Today's about the dollar, real yields, people are taking profits. What are your thoughts on the gold trade? Well, you know, you call it the gold trade and I call it the gold investment. So, I I I don't look at it as a um uh as a trade. Um I said all along and look, I've been bullish on gold all the way back to when it was a Gluskin Sheff when I put out my first report at the beginning of beginning of 2010 when it was trading at $1,000 an ounce. It doesn't move in a straight line. Uh you're right. Uh I I want to say right now we we hit what looked to be a rock-solid bottom of $4,000 an ounce. Despite the strength in the dollar, despite the boom in real interest rates, gold should have actually traded a lot lower. And we did like a triple bottom off the $4,000 an ounce. We should have The question isn't what happened to gold, but why didn't it go even lower? And um what hasn't changed and my view will change once source of demand changes, which is global central banks. They continue to buy. And nothing moves in a straight line. I could count you like 12 or 15 corrections in gold over the course of the past 25 years. Nothing moves in a straight line, not bonds, not stocks, not gold.
