OpenAI pauses training of latest models

Meantime, OpenAI saying it is carrying on an extensive review and is now paused training of its most advanced models after the company reported new instances of models escaping secure testing environments. Separately, the New York Times reporting that OpenAI agents also went rogue and meddled with the websites for the Education Department, the Commerce Department, the SEC over the summer, all without the company's knowledge. OpenAI saying that the data that the agents accessed was public and none of the incidents were breaches, but were examples of its technology behaving in otherwise unexpected and concerning way.
