The US-China AI rivalry has been framed as adversarial. This dinner says otherwise.

It's a real image of Melania Trump clinking champagne glasses with President Xi Jinping whilst Elon Musk looks on and Jensen raises his glass in the back. You've got Tim Cook to the right as well. Now, what's going on here? There's obviously been a narrative put out there around Chinese AI models versus American AI models about China AI versus American AI and it's been pretty much framed as adversarial. What hasn't been publicized is the conversations around quelling this, around producing a path forward which is productive to both sides of the nation, collaborating on research and pushing forwards the frontier of AI. Now, whilst Jensen's kind of like trying to do that with AI agent hacks, security platforms and buybacks on the stock market, Trump and I guess Jensen and a bunch of other major AI leaders are trying to do that by building up political relationship or favor with the Chinese. Now, that's what this dinner was focused on doing.
