October 26, 2026 – TheNewswire – TORONTO, ON  – Clean Energy Transition Inc. (TSX-V: TRAN) (“ transition.inc ” or the “ Company ”) is pleased to announce that Sunly Energy (“Sunly”) has been selected as the Installer-Partner for the Pilot Phase of TranFin, the Company’s new residential Energy-as-a-Service (“ EaaS ”) platform.

The announcement follows the Company’s recent closing of the financing to fund the TranFin Pilot Phase (see news release dated September 28, 2026) and TranFin’s participation in last week’s Electricity Transformation Canada (“ ETC ”) conference in Toronto, where meetings with equipment manufacturers, prospective Installer-Partners and financing groups helped advance preparations for the Pilot launch and the Company’s subsequent Ramp Phase.

Sunly Selected as Pilot Installer-Partner

Sunly is an established Canadian residential solar and energy storage installer, headquartered in Prince Edward Island, with operations across Eastern Canada and Ontario. Since its founding in 2019, Sunly has completed thousands of residential solar installations and expanded into battery energy storage.

Under the TranFin Pilot, Sunly will work with the Company to identify and install residential battery storage projects, initially focused on the Maritime provinces. TranFin offers a third-party ownership (“ TPO ”) model under which TranFin funds, owns, monitors and maintains residential energy assets installed at homeowners’ properties. Homeowners receive the benefits of those assets through a long-term subscription arrangement, without the upfront equipment purchase cost. The Pilot Phase will initially focus on battery storage installations, providing an opportunity to establish and refine TranFin’s customer contracting, installation, monitoring and servicing processes ahead of a broader rollout.

“ Sunly brings the local experience, established customer relationships and installation capabilities we were looking for in our first Installer-Partner ,” said Sean Samson, President and CEO of transition.inc. “ With our Pilot financing completed and Sunly alongside us, we are moving from developing the TranFin model toward now deploying our first portfolio of residential energy assets. ”

Preparing for TranFin’s Ramp Phase

Building on its Pilot Phase, TranFin is preparing for its next stage of development, referred to as the “Ramp Phase,” which is expected to expand the platform into additional Canadian provinces, add further Installer-Partners and broaden the range of energy assets offered to include residential solar photovoltaic systems and combined solar and battery installations. Heat pumps are also contemplated as a future product category.

The Company is pursuing relationships across three areas:

Equipment manufacturers and suppliers: Exploring equipment supply, warranty, servicing and other commercial arrangements to support a growing portfolio of residential energy assets.

Installer-Partners: Identifying established Canadian installers seeking to offer customers a TPO alternative to purchasing residential battery, solar and related energy systems.

Financing partners: Engaging with lenders and other capital providers regarding financing structures intended to support the ownership and growth of TranFin’s residential energy asset portfolios.

The Company’s objective is to establish a scalable platform, providing homeowners with access to energy assets without the upfront purchase cost, supporting installers in converting prospective customers into completed projects, and creating a portfolio of long-term recurring subscription revenues.

Progress Following Electricity Transformation Canada

Members of the transition.inc team attended ETC in Toronto last week, advancing discussions with equipment suppliers, prospective Installer-Partners and financing groups. These meetings helped move forward preparations for the initial Pilot installations and the commercial relationships and financing arrangements required for TranFin’s planned Ramp Phase.

“ ETC was a productive opportunity to move forward on both the immediate launch of our Pilot and preparations for Ramp ,” added Samson. “ We made progress in discussions with equipment companies, prospective Installer-Partners and financing groups as we work toward building TranFin into a scalable Canadian residential energy platform. ”

Companies interested in exploring equipment supply arrangements, becoming a TranFin Installer-Partner or participating in the Ramp Phase financing are encouraged to contact the Company through info@transition.inc to discuss potential opportunities.
