TL;DR

Account Collapse: Machi Big Brother’s Hyperliquid balance plunged to about $21,800 after a series of liquidations erased most of a four-month run that had peaked near $12.5 million.

ETH Liquidations: Four ETH-USD perpetual futures positions were liquidated within minutes as Ethereum fell nearly 6%, forcing the closure of positions worth hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars.

Long-Term Volatility: The trader has experienced repeated major gains and losses, including tens of millions of dollars in documented drawdowns and occasional recoveries tied to leveraged ETH positions.

A dramatic reversal has erased nearly all of a major trading comeback after Machi Big Brother saw his Hyperliquid account collapse from a peak of almost $12.5 million to roughly $21,800 . The decline came after another round of weakness in Ethereum, with a series of liquidations rapidly closing several leveraged positions. The latest setback marks one of the most striking swings yet for Machi Big Brother , whose trading history has featured both massive gains and equally significant losses.

Liquidations End Four-Month Surge

The account’s rise had been remarkable. Data cited by blockchain tracker Lookonchain showed Machi Big Brother growing an account worth about $56,132 on June 25 into a fortune that peaked near $12.5 million over four months . However, the recovery unraveled as Ethereum prices moved lower. Before the final liquidation event, Machi Big Brother attempted to close positions to reduce losses and avoid forced exits. According to Lookonchain, those efforts failed to stop the decline.

Roughly an hour after reporting that the trader was reducing exposure, the tracker stated that Machi Big Brother had been fully liquidated and left with an account value of approximately $21,800. A t the time of writing, ETH traded around $2,300 after falling nearly 6% , adding to the broader pressure across cryptocurrency markets.

Ethereum Positions Trigger Collapse

Data from Hypurrscan showed Machi Big Brother was liquidated across four ETH-USD perpetual futures positions . The transactions involved positions of 380 ETH at $2,379, 270 ETH at $2,374, 200 ETH at $2,355, and 800 ETH at $2,331. The value of those positions ranged from roughly $471,000 to $1.87 million and was recorded within minutes as the account was being unwound.

The activity highlighted how quickly leveraged positions can deteriorate during sharp market moves . The latest losses add to a long record of volatility for Machi Big Brother, whose account has been linked to hundreds of liquidations documented by public blockchain trackers.

A History of Massive Wins and Losses

This is far from the first major setback for Machi Big Brother. Earlier on-chain snapshots showed Machi Big Brother moving from holdings close to nine figures to $28 million in losses over five months . Arkham later reported losses of $75.19 million over six months following prior gains of $44.84 million. Even so, Machi Big Brother has also staged recoveries . In June, the trader’s account was reportedly worth $1.2 million and included a leveraged ETH long position showing a profit of more than $1 million. The latest liquidation event adds another dramatic chapter to the trading record of Machi Big Brother.
