Binance released its free AI trading assistant for English-speaking users on October 12, following the beta testing by about 150,000 individuals.
The beta was launched on September 7. According to Binance, the tool will offer such features as portfolio performance summary, leading asset identification, and market news delivery in text or audio form. Users can follow market events thanks to voice alerts and on-screen tips. Layouts adapt to the user experience level.
The assistant is separate from Binance AI Pro, previewed in a livestream. Binance has not presented the free tool as an autonomous trading bot. More languages are being added.
“Markets are becoming more complex, but the tools to understand them should become easier to use,” Binance VP of Product Jeff Li said.
Co-CEO Richard Teng made a similar statement on October 5:
“Finance has always been built for the people who already understand it […] Blockchain is giving everyone access to markets; AI gives everyone the knowledge to navigate them.”
Why exchanges are chasing AI market help
The launch follows Binance’s strategy of creating a TriFi superapp that includes crypto, tokenized stocks, and DeFi in one single account. AI could simplify this complex solution for users, but the performance is yet to be verified.
Binance is moving into the realm of AI technology, where other trading platforms are already advancing quickly. Among others, Crypto.com has been using Anthropic’s Claude 3 via Amazon Bedrock in its quest to offer personalized market sentiment analyses in under one second . As of July 2025, Crypto.com was catering to 140 million customers in 90 countries, as per an AWS report.
The early use of AI by Crypto.com for personalized market sentiment raises the stakes for Binance. Nonetheless, Binance is armed with a competitive advantage: liquidity in trading. CoinGecko’s report states that Binance secured 25.3% of all measured Bitcoin liquidity across eight exchanges. The figure covers only the exchanges in the study, not the entire global market.

Where the AI edge could bite back
Useful guidance may also bring in risks. Market players, depending on the same AI forecasts, may accumulate the same positions in the market. The risk of errors in information presented remains one more danger in terms of new investors. The company warns that market participants should not depend entirely on AI-generated information for making decisions.
According to a working paper published in 2026, it was found that ChatGPT outages lead to an 8% decrease in crypto order-book depth, along with a 19% increase in return volatility. It neither examined Binance AI nor found that such a rollout would produce similar results.
What the research says about AI and returns
Better information does not guarantee better trades. In a September review , researchers Linsen Zhu and Mengqing Cai found no publicly demonstrated general AI architecture consistently delivering durable, risk-adjusted returns after costs across market conditions. Fees, slippage, and crowded signals can undermine paper profits.
A February Electronics review of 555 studies published between 2016 and 2025 identified a similar gap between AI’s promise and real-world trading performance.
For now, Binance AI remains an information tool. Whether it becomes a lasting advantage will depend on how traders use it and whether they keep coming back.
