The initial offering includes digital representations of major technology firms such as Apple , Nvidia , Microsoft , Amazon , Alphabet , Meta , Tesla , Micron , and SpaceX . This lineup will also feature instruments tracking the performance of the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 through ETFs .
The instruments will trade under the HIP-1 standard denominated in the stablecoin USDC . According to market reports, the issuing entity has not yet established a definitive date for the public opening of these markets.
Hyperliquid previously offered perpetual futures contracts on equities through the Trade[XYZ] protocol. That feature enabled speculative price exposure without requiring ownership of the underlying securities.
Official figures from EQX indicate that the new tokens do not represent direct equity ownership. Holders will instead own limited-recourse debt instruments secured by those shares, retaining direct contractual claims against the issuing vehicle.
The assets will be formally issued by EQX SPC Ltd. , a segregated portfolio company domiciled in the British Virgin Islands . Each equity title will have an independent portfolio holding the underlying shares that serve as collateral.
Custody Structure, Fees, and Economic Rights
The firm designated DTC -connected financial intermediaries as custodians, including Alpaca , StoneX , and Clear Street . Statements from EQX Labs note that the company will publish custody reports so traders can periodically verify the underlying reserve holdings.
Regarding costs, the issuer confirmed it will charge no additional fees for token minting, redemption, or maintenance. Users will only incur standard transaction fees on Hyperliquid’s spot market.
The company’s business model relies on an agreed revenue share from trading fees generated on the platform. They stated that this structure aims to minimize reliance on spreads or hidden commissions.
While they do not constitute traditional equity under corporate law, the product passes through certain economic rights to users. Cash dividends will be automatically reinvested into acquiring additional shares after deducting applicable withholding taxes.
Additionally, token holders will be able to relay voting instructions for shareholder meetings using cryptographic signatures generated from their digital wallets. Direct minting and redemption of shares will be restricted to authorized participants, while retail investors will trade exclusively on the secondary market. Due to regulatory restrictions, the product will not be available to U.S. citizens or residents.
The EQX rollout expands the presence of real-world assets ( RWAs ) on the network. During August 2026, xStocks enabled five tokenized stocks on HyperCore , including Nvidia , Micron , and the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 indices.
In parallel, Ondo Finance extended its infrastructure to the HyperEVM , establishing liquidity bridges for equity-backed capital originating from Ethereum and BNB Chain .
EQX Labs plans to integrate these assets as collateral within DeFi lending protocols and as underlying assets for hedging against perpetual contracts. The project’s next milestone will be the release of its official rollout schedule and the opening of the HIP-1 order book on Hyperliquid .
