Crypto titan Michael Saylor predicts bitcoin will surge past $100,000 over the next year to kick off a massive new bull market.

The largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization is trading around $81,800, up from about $75,900 a month ago, around the time the Senate failed to advance the Clarity Act in a procedural vote.

Saylor, the executive chairman of Strategy Inc., argued that the best thing to happen to crypto was the major piece of legislation failing on Capitol Hill.

” Bitcoin didn’t need the law,” Saylor said.

He noted that the stalled 630-page Clarity Act bill was loaded with heavy restrictions. When it tanked, the Washington logjam broke.

Instead of suffocating mandates, the Treasury rushed in to back stablecoins, the Securities and Exchange Commission paved the way for tokenized securities and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission unlocked prediction markets and derivatives.

“It was really the best thing that could happen for the industry because the industry got constructive guidance that they can grow with and all of the restrictions that had been placed in the bill didn’t become law,” Saylor said.

Skeptics worry future administrations might try to roll back these new rules. Saylor waved off the panic, comparing crypto to the early days of Uber and Airbnb.

If digital assets enrich 100 million Americans by the next election cycle, Saylor noted, no politician will dare take that away.

Traditional banking giants are already diving headfirst into bitcoin custody and credit lines.

Meanwhile, Saylor warned that Wall Street is sleeping on digital capital while chasing risky, overpriced AI plays.

As autonomous AIs prepare to trade 24/7 at the speed of light, Saylor sees bitcoin standing alone as the ultimate scarce safe haven.
