A Pennsylvania lawyer is accused of stealing more than $156,000 from two clients, including a 76-year-old man whose bank account was left with just $26.21.

The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office says Andrew C. Neville, 40, of Pennsauken, New Jersey, faces felony charges including financial exploitation of an older adult or care-dependent person, identity theft, theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception, theft by failure to make required disposition of funds, forgery and receiving stolen property.

Neville owned Neville Law PLLC in Newtown Borough and is now suspended.

Prosecutors say he was hired in October of 2024 to handle the estate of a woman who had died.

After moving the estate’s money into an account at the First National Bank & Trust Company of Newtown, Neville allegedly made 46 unauthorized withdrawals and transfers from January to May of 2025, taking $113,150.

Some of that money allegedly went to rent for his law office and his home.

The second alleged victim named Neville as his agent under a power of attorney in March of 2024.

Neville allegedly added himself to the man’s Santander Bank account and made 26 unauthorized transactions totaling $43,631.78 between July of 2024 and May of 2025.

“By June 2025, the victim’s account had been drained to a balance of $26.21.”

The DA says Neville admitted to the thefts in a police interview on September 25th and blamed medical problems, substance abuse and an online gambling addiction.

He turned himself in on October 23rd and was arraigned the same day, with bail set at $250,000.

Prosecutors say none of the $156,781.78 has been returned to the victims or their families.

Says District Attorney Joe Khan,

“Clients put their faith, assets, and future in the hands of their attorneys during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

This defendant betrayed the trust placed in him as a legal professional, targeting vulnerable older adults and draining the funds intended for their care and families.”
