TL;DR:

The total market value of tokenized stocks stood at $3.8 billion during the week of October 5, 2026, representing a 483% increase compared to the $654 million recorded in January.

The weekly spot trading volume on decentralized exchanges (DEX) went from $45.8 million to $2.54 billion in the same period, multiplying by 55.

Ethereum’s issuance share dropped from 50% to 22% throughout 2026, while BNB Chain climbed to 32% of the total market following the integration of bStocks.

The tokenized stocks sector reached an aggregate capitalization of $3.8 billion in the week of October 5. According to industry data presented after the TOKEN2049 forum, this asset class from the Real World Assets (RWA) segment experienced a 483% expansion compared to the $654 million recorded in the week of January 5.

The issuer structure underwent a notable transformation during the first ten months of the year. Ondo Finance retained the top position by individual volume, registering $1 billion in capitalization; however, its net market share fell from 56% to 26% due to the entry of new financial entities.

The Binance platform enabled its bStocks line in June 2026. The product accumulated $100 million in its first two operational weeks and climbed to $905 million by the close of the first week of October, capturing 24% of the global pie.

Meanwhile, the firm xStocks advanced from $187 million to $954 millio n in valuation, retaining 25% of the circulating supply. Robinhood deployed its infrastructure in July, raising its balance from $20 million to $170 million in tokenized assets under custody during the third quarter.

In parallel, Securitize introduced the tokenized version of its initial public offering (IPO) shares in July, registering an allocation of $290 million , which equals 8% of the total market.

Multi-chain liquidity rotation and adoption in DeFi protocols

The technical hegemony that Ethereum held at the beginning of the year showed clear signs of geographic dispersion towards alternative networks. At the close of the first week of January, Ethereum concentrated 50% of total issuances, but its relative weight dropped to 22% in October.

BNB Chain absorbed most of this flow, scaling from 9% to 32% of the sector share. This growth was supported by the activity of bStocks, the network hosting the three largest tokenized equity contracts in the ecosystem: CRCLb, SPCXb, and MSTRb. Avalanche also emerged in July with a direct share of 9%, driven by the registration of Securitize’s shares on its consensus layer.

The volume of wallet-to-wallet transfers grew 41.8 times between the weeks of January 5 and October 5, moving from $420 million to $17.5 billion weekly. According to the on-chain metrics report, the weekly rotation velocity went from 0.64x to 4.6x, reflecting that the underlying capital moved approximately seven times faster in active trading rather than remaining static in cold wallets.

Spot trading within decentralized platforms exhibited a similar trajectory . The weekly figure rose from $45.8 million to $2.54 billion, registering an all-time high of $7.26 billion in the week of August 31, a timeframe in which the Robinhood Chain network concentrated 74% of transactional activity with $5.36 billion.

The trading distribution on DEXs ceased to be monopolistic. Solana , which dominated 99.8% of trading in January, closed the first week of October with 31%, followed by Robinhood Chain with 26%, BNB Chain with 25%, and the Base network with 18%.

The active total value locked (TVL) in decentralized finance protocols reached $313 million as of October 15, compared to the $15.5 million documented on January 1. This amount is equivalent to about 8% of the sector’s total capitalization. Lending and borrowing funds distributed across Kamino, Jupiter Lend, and Frankencoin totaled $51.3 million, while automated liquidity pools on Uniswap V4, Raydium, and Aerodrome accumulated $77.9 million. The Saturn protocols, Figure Markets Exchange, and Pendle yield markets collectively retained over $142 million.

Despite this growth, the reported $3.8 billion represents only 0.005% of the US equity market, formally estimated at $75 trillion, and an even smaller proportion of the $150 trillion global stock market. The upcoming release of the quarterly collateral and corporate reserve audit by Ondo Finance and Securitize, scheduled for the end of Q4 2026, will provide new balances regarding the physical backing of these assets in traditional bank custody.
