Privacy
Reading STOX.NEWS needs no account and there is nothing to sign up for. What follows is the complete list of what happens to a reader’s data.
Server logs
The web server records ordinary request logs — address requested, time, status code, browser string, IP. They exist to diagnose faults and to spot abusive traffic, and they are not joined to anything else.
In your browser
A light or dark preference is kept in your browser’s local storage so the page does not flash the wrong theme on the next visit. It never leaves the browser. No analytics script, no tracking pixel and no social embed is loaded by this site.
Advertising
Advertising sold directly is a plain image and a link; it sets nothing. Where a slot is filled by an advertising network instead, that network is a third party operating under its own privacy policy and may set cookies or identifiers of its own. Slots filled that way are labelled on the page like every other slot — including the one in the column beside this text.
Links out
Every story links to the publisher that filed it. Once you follow that link you are on their site under their policy, not this one.
Administration
The administration area is a separate signed-in surface that no reader ever reaches. It uses a session cookie, which is set only after a successful sign-in and is destroyed on sign-out.
